it was the first day of September. My result of i. com was to be declared on that day. I had been waiting for the day with anxiety and curiosity. I got up at six o’ clock. I took bath and prayed to God to grant me success. My mind was swinging between hope and fear. It was strange stage of anxiety and expectation I was not sure what was slotted for me. My parents had high expectation of me. At one moment I was sure that I would pass obtaining Grade A. Again, I feared that if I failed or lost division. It is an established truth that there is also an element of change in every examination.
In short, I was in a very disturbed mind. The newspaper-boy had not yet come. The sand of time was running out. I was getting more and more restless. At last, the newspaper boy came shouting. I brought a paper from him. With trembling hands I opened the newspaper. Within a minute I found out my Roll No. among the Grade A1. I thanked to Almighty Allah for the success which he granted me. Then I ran to my mother and gave her the good news. She was overwhelmed with joy. My mother and brothers got up and rejoiced. The whole atmosphere of the house was at one changed.
Many of relatives brought sweet boxes for me. The next day I went to my college to meet my teachers and headmaster. They all congratulated me. Aim of my life Aimless life is certainly a sin. Many people have no definite aim in life. They are like the travelers going ahead without any destination. Such people lead an aimless life and what they do in life, is largely a matter of chance, determined by the circumstances in which they happen to be placed. Aimless people do not achieve anything in life. They just live because they have to live. One should have a definite purpose of life.
The people who want success in life, first of all, determine their target. They keep before them their circumstances, their virtuous, their qualities, their talents and their ability to work. They select some definite target of their life and remain successful. Different people have different aims in life. Some aim at wealth, some at power, some at fame, some at business and some at education and knowledge. My aim is neither wealth nor fame. I wish to serve by country with best of my talent. I love Pakistan and I really believe that everybody should think to make it a really great country.
I want to become a doctor. It is a noble profession. In medical line, there is much more scope of service. On can serve the patients everywhere in the country. This is my personal choice. My parents have compelled me to select it. I wish to become a very successful doctor in future. So I am studying hard to achieve my target. I have keen interest in medical line, so I do not feel any trouble in studying at all. After obtaining the medical degree, I plan to work in rural areas where there is much shortage of doctors. My father is well off man and I do not have any financial problem.
I do not have the lust of money. I will go to the rural areas and shall help the poor people. I would be best sort of service. This will give me extreme satisfaction and that is the aim of my life. I know, my profession is very dignified and it will help me to get peace and satisfaction in life. It provides you best chances of service. Sympathy to human being is the sympathy to one owns self. Most people in the world have some ambitions in life. A petty merchant has an ambition to become a big business man, a clerk to be a high officer, a student to be a doctor or engineer.
Some desire for wealth, some desire for fame and reputation. A proper aim in life keeps a person shining and glowing in his future life. My aim in life is neither to collect money this or by that way nor for fame. It is my desire to become a well qualified doctor or a scientist. I do not just wish to be an ordinary doctor who spends his times in his laboratory trying to find out new drugs and medicines to remove the suffering of millions of people. The world remembers with thankfulness the name of the man who gave to the world vaccination.
The world will remember forever the man who gave us penicillin. As a doctor it is my real wish to serve the badly suffering humanity too. Our country is still under development and it has become necessary for all of us, especially for doctors to achieve sound progress in the field of new drugs and medicines, and for the prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan we should work hard with spiritual zeal and zest. I have an ambition to do something in this world as great as the doctors and the courageous founders did in the past.
I would like to give the world some new drugs and injections that will cure some of the many disease that people are still suffering from. In my opinion, wealth, fame and any other kind of materialistic gain are hollow and baseless if earned through unfair means. In my ambition, it is great wish to help the suffering people. For lawful earnings it will be my foremost duty to serve the humanity, by going to the rural areas of this under developed country in order to help the poor and humble people for their happiness and entire satisfaction.
