There are certain disadvantages of co-education. First, co-education is against the law of nature. Girls and boys are temperamentally different from each other. They have different duties to perform. A girl is required to receive education which can make her a good wife and a good mother. While a boy is required to receive education which can make him a good husband and a good father. A Uniform education can not help them be expert in their respective fields. Thus the very idea of co-education is wrong.
Then co-education is against our traditions. It will develop immoral realations between boys and girls. My personal argument is against co-education and I say that in co-education environments students have more opportunity and temptations to go astray. They cannot maintain the right etiquette of intermingling as prescribed by the Islamic Shari‘ah, at all times during school hours Co-education is male and female persons in a learning environment (school) together as opposed to gender segregated education.
Co-education means the education of boys and girls in same school, colleges or universities. This is a modern concept and has brought remarkable change in the sociesties. It was first introduces in Switzerland, but now it has become popular almost in all Europe and America. The supporters of this system favour the system mainly on two grounds, one economical and other sociological. In first place they says that co-education is an economical measure for poor countries like India,Pakistan and many others.
It is not possible for poor countries to build seperate colleges for both boys and girls as it requires a lot of capital . A lot of money is required to build libraries, labortaries and the whole building of a college or university. In second place people claims that when both boys and girls will study in same class rooms their confidene level will increase. When the both girls and boys will study together the environment will be totaly changed, boys will become less coarse and girls less morbid and that will be benificial for bith sexes.
More over, this type of system will blow the spirit of fight in getting more numbers so,there will be more competetion and more intellectuals will be produced. To educate both boys and girls under the same roof will require number of teachers and that will be much better from the economic point of view. When both boys and girls will be teached in same class room the fence of shyness will be removed and will encourage both girls and boys to talk and discuss matters freely and confidently. Points against co-education 2 years ago * Report Abuse [email protected] Best Answer – Chosen by Asker Every coin has two sides, and my eye approaches to both of those silvery shiny sides, the positivity of coeducation is that a person learns how to interact and deal with other people and he/she develops her interpersonal skills which becomes a strong stivk to an old man when he/she enters the professional life because in that period of your life it is not necessary that you are only going to deal with girls if you are a girl or boys if you are a boy….
The time shows every mirror so its better to be trained from earlier clocks!! The negative aspect is engaging in some non required activities like mostly in coeducation girls and boys are found hanging around those cafes and pubs bunking the classes and this all stinks….. 1. education of both the sexes in the same institution is known as co-education. 2. advantages :- -economic benefit -equality for women in many fields of life. girls and boys can interact with each other. 3. disadvantages :- -teenagers go astray -destraction in studies -declination in character Co-education should not be applied due to the following reasons: 1-Many pieces of research have demonstrated that the academic performance of males has declined increasingly in the past few decades(1); they would claim the attention of teachers due to their disruptive behaviour and of course hormones accompanying their adolescent years.
Girls will be neglected and forgotten as there is a wide spread belief that girls can study on their own because they are more organised and diligent not because they are smart or in need of the teacher’s guidance. 2-Boys would be less encouraged to participate in art or literature subjects with female teachers and girls present; they would feel less masculine or rough as the image they believe women have of them and they need to have it. -Boys and girls, as we all know, begin to feel the presence of the other sex around them from an early stage especially in their teen years and thus the presence of the other and the image in front of him or her becomes the most important not th1.
My opponent makes the argument that boys perform at lower levels than girls because of hormones. I would like to propose a more likely reason: teachers. Men account for less than 25% of teachers (1). Both males and females are of course better suited to teach their own kind, and female teacher dominance logically leads to girls performing better. . Your previous argument indicates that boys will be more interested in being with girls, but here your argument is that they will essentially run away because they want to save their reputation. This is a logical contradiction. 3. What about homosexuals? They will continue to feel this sexual tension, and probably even more so. It would be as if my opponent (a male, looking at his profile) were sent to an all-girl school. Solutions should be for everyone. Not for majorities, at the expense of minorities. e learning process.
