Reflection paper 14 Essay

Stress is a state in our bodies that makes people react to certain situations by releasing chemicals into the blood which give more energy and strength to act on whatever is causing the stress. Stress can either be positive or negative. The chemicals released can cause damages due to the increased blood flow, breathing and high blood pressure that may result to hypertension and even sudden death in some cases.

Stressors are the numerous conditions in our lives that trigger stress. People working in high-pressure jobs are more likely to experience different types of stress depending on the situation at hand. Some of the stressors encountered may include; fear, the people are always afraid of the impact of what they do to the lives of the others. They are not sure whether whatever decision they take will negatively affect themselves and others in the way they never thought of.

Exposure to tragedy often stresses them as the case of doctors who are daily handling patients with contentious diseases which may easily caught them. Other are afraid that they decisions can cost their lives and those of their families as the case with unfaithful lawyers. Fatigue and overwork is common in high pressure jobs since people work very hard over long time without time to relax, though this is out of control its always.

Internal stress where individuals worry about what new challenges they shall meet in the day is also a common stressor.

In order to cope with stress well mental strategies need to be used to minimize stress since we cannot fully overcome it. To cope it’s good to always identify the cause of the stress without ignoring it since it may occur bigger than it is at present. Recognizing what one can change though change in altitude and obligations can reduce stress and if not changing our response towards a problems helps a great way in reducing stressors in our lives.

By being organized we reduce some activities that overwork us causing stress, but incase the worst comes it is good to let it all through laughing, crying and even screaming to let out emotions.
