The relation between China and Indonesia has a long historical root. The interaction between the two country has started since many thousand ago. This close relationship was found in the history when the Admiral Cheng He had an illustrious travel to Indonesia in 14th century. In 1950 Indonesia officially recognized the founding of the new China under Communist Party rule. Indonesia was the first country in South East Asia to establish diplomatic relation with the PRC. That event was followed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between china and Indonesia and the replacement of the ambassador of China to Indonesia
