The total number of subjects selected for the study were 358.There were 4 droupouts in this study so, each group had 177 subjects. All subjects were evaluated on same day and after 24 hours.
Intergroup significant was calculated by using Friedman test and Intragroup significant was calculated by using Mann Whitney U test.
In Group 1 :
Table 1 and 2 and graph 1 showed significant change in pre, post and carry over effect on VAS, Cervical rotation by Goniometer and tape and cervical side flexion by Goniometer and tape with P>0.0001 in Group 1.
The pre mean of VAS was 5.83 with SD of 0.76 and post mean of VAS was 4.84 with SD of 0.75 which indicate decrease in pain intensity of 0.99 after treatment but, after 24 hours Mean of carry over VAS was 5.26 with SD of 0.79 which indicate less decrease in pain intensity of 0.57.CHI SQUARE value was 316.44, which was significant.
The pre mean of Cervical Rotation by Goniometer was 52.53 with SD of 3.74 and post mean of Cervical Rotation of Goniometer is 54.46 with SD of 3.31 which indicate increase in ROM of -0.99 after treatment but, after 24 hours Mean of carry over rotation by goniometer was 53.94 with SD of 3.48 which indicate less increase in ROM of-1.41. CHI SQUARE value was 228.43, which was significant.
The pre mean of Cervical Rotation by Tape was 14.47 with SD of 10.13 and post mean of cervical rotation of Tape was 13.51 with SD of 1.85 which indicate decrease in distance of 0.96 after treatment but, after 24 hours mean of carry over cervical rotation by Tape was 13.56 with SD of 0.82 which indicate less decrease in distance of 0.91.CHI SQUARE value was 240.67, which was significant.
The pre mean of side flexion by Goniometer was 39.54 with SD of 2.55 and post mean of side flexion of Goniometer was 41.16 with SD of 2.22 which indicate increase in ROM of -1.62 after treatment but, after 24 hours Mean of carry over side flexion by Goniometer was 40.86 with SD of 2.15 which indicate less increase in ROM of -1.32. CHI SQUARE value was 234.45, which was significant.
The pre mean of side flexion by Tape was 13.05 with SD of 0.83 and post mean of side flexion by Tape was 12.89 with SD of 0.83 which indicate decrease in distance of 0.16 after treatment but, after 24 hours mean of carry over side flexion by Tape was 12.91 with SD of 0.81 which indicate less decrease in distance of 0.14.CHI SQUARE value was 233.88, which was significant.
