Abstract
In this study we will investigate the impact of brand extension on the brand personality based on some research and survey done.
The thesis is dividing in two parts. The first one, the theoretical part I will define the brand management, what are a brand and its concept, and how companies can build a brand name. Then I will define the brand extension, her types, advantages and disadvantages and the process that we should follow to make an extension in the brand. In addition I will define the brand personality, characteristics, how to create brand personality and finally I will define the brand equity.
And to know the impact of the brand extension on the brand personality, we have chosen two Lebanese companies Almaza Beer and Beirut Beer, and we made an interview with their marketing managers plus I distribute survey on five supermarkets in bekaa region to collect their feedback about the expansion of those two brands.
The research results identify positive relationships between the brand expansion and the brand personality.
In the conclusion, the impacts are evaluated and recommendations are given to the companies.
