What is government?
The world has various forms of governments. Which makes you ask what form of government is the best form of government? When given the choices of Dictatorship, Communism, and Monarchy I believe that monarchy is the best form of government. Firstly, Dictatorship is a form of government in which a country is directed by one person or a very small group of people which hold all political power. Although a form of government, non-dictatorships perceive dictatorship countries as a barbaric and diabolical environment because of the way they mind their citizens. There is no dictator who will call himself a dictator. Instead, dictators have descriptions such as president, leader, and or emperor. That’s because the pejorative term dictator was assigned to certain rulers by other nations of a higher power and thriving economies. For a country to be regarded as a dictatorship means that it’s known to be led by one person without any checks and balances within his power. Dictators make single-handed decisions that affect their countries without having to seek advice from any other branch of government. And that is because all other branches are controlled by the dictator. Often through violence rather than peaceful ways dictators come to power in their countries. Elections are coerced through harassment of the voters to ensure the victory for the dictator. Dictators are perpetrated as the knowledgeable divine being, who is the only person capable of promising prosperity towards their nation and then later recognized and worshiped as a god. And then once elected the harsh dictators treat their citizens horribly and allow their citizens to live in poverty while refusing to give food and necessary stock in order to put structure in to their citizens. Along with these situations the citizens under the dictator do not have the freedom that we in America have for instance, they do not have the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and or the right to stake an opinion in opposition to the dictator. As of today there are forty-nine dictatorships in the world. There are nineteen in Sub-Saharan Africa, twelve in the Middle East/ and North Africa, eight in Asia-pacific, seven in Eurasia, one in Europe, and two in Americas. Some words from former dictators, “make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.” Adolf Hitler, “death is the solution to all problems.no man- no problem’ joseph Stalin, “politics is when you say you are going to do one thing while intending to do another. Then you do neither what you said nor what you intended.’ Saddam Hussein, “I will leap into my grave laughing because the feeling that I have five million human beings on my conscience is for me a source of extraordinary satisfaction.” Adolf Eichmann, “I do not see why man should not be just as cruel as nature.” Adolf Hitler. I personally would not choose dictatorship out of the three because I don’t believe it’s the right form of government. Furthermore Communism, is a form of government in which a country’s productive resources in their society are owned by the public or the state, and wealth is divided among citizens equally or according to an individual’s abilities and needs. This form of government is equality. Although citizens have different careers, the citizens all get paid the same. There are no social classes present due to fact that everyone is treated equally. All citizens work accordingly to their abilities, and everyone receives according to their need. All of this is possible through a communist society where the government owns everything necessary to transport and make products, and where social class does not exist. Although this sounds like the ideal society, a truly communist form of society has yet to exist. This ideal form of society has been expressed in two ways, one way was in a writing called Plato’s republic. In this excerpt Plato describes this society where nothing is owned privately and all things were publically shared. Plato’s republic had such extreme communism that monogamous relationships were not even allowed, in his society all citizens had sexual relationships with anyone else in his society. Now how’s that for equality? Another version of this ideal form of government was made by Thomas Moore called utopia. This book goes into detail about this bizarre but fictitious island called utopia.in this book Thomas Moore goes on to explain how there was no private property on this island, and all wealth was stored inside these shelters. And whenever a citizen needed anything they would go to the shelter and get whatever without having to pay. This society was predominantly agricultural, and citizens lived with huge families and ate in communal dining halls. Thomas Moore’s fantasy society became so recognized that even today the word utopia describes an imaginary society where the government, the laws, and the citizens are completely perfect. The form of communism that is most common is the Marxist communism form of government. Marxist communism is based on writings from Karl Marx, his concept became very influential in the twentieth century because it inspired the communist revolutions of china, Vietnam, Korea, Nicaragua, Cuba, and the Soviet Union along with other countries. Karl Marx’s wrote a pamphlet and in this pamphlet contained his min ideas for communism, it was known as the communist manifesto. The most recognized line from this pamphlet was “the history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.” Karl Marx believed that the history of this world was about competition between different social classes. And that there has an always will be a small group of people in charge who directs everyone else. Karl Marx believed that the more dominant class is determined by who owns things necessary to make goods the owners of factories and businesses. Under the owners were the factory workers. Although the workers put in hard work they get paid the least. Karl Marx believed that eventually workers would get tired of the way they were being treated that they would riot and eventually overthrow the dominant class. Thus creating the society which one fantasied about where workers worked according to their skills and everyone would receive according to their needs. According to recent search there are only five communist countries left today. Including china, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, and North Korea. Some words from people who have an opinion of communism “communism is not love, communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.” Mao Tse-tung,” “pay equality for women is a communist idea from the days of soviet Russia” Rand Paul, “the theory of the communists may be summed up in the single sentence: abolition of private property.” Karl Marx, “communism is a form of society where the less people have to eat, the more they have to swallow.” Evan Esar, “let’s not talk about communism. Communism was just an idea, just pie in the sky.” Boris Yeltsin. I personally would not choose communism as my favorite form of government, because it’s just not the ideal government for me out of the three. Lastly, Monarchy is a form of government in which the country is ruled by a monarch. A monarch is mainly a king or queen. The king or queen inherits the position in their government. There are two types of monarchy an absolute monarchy and a constitutional monarchy. A constitutional monarchy is usually split into two different parts. Together the government and the state make up one part of the monarchy. Social and ceremonial traditions together these make up the second part. This form of monarchy is the form commonly used today. In an absolute monarchy the designated monarch would make all the decisions. There is no government, so you can change all laws at any moment without the approval of others. This form of government is not as common today, more common from throughout history. Today there are twenty nine modern monarchies, reigning over forty countries.
